AngusPRO members are fully registered members of Angus Australia. This means their cattle are part of Angus Australia’s internationally recognised pedigree and performance database and they have access to state of the art genomic technologies such as TACE, Angus GS and HD50K for Angus, as well as HeiferSELECT. Angus Australia have over 3,900 members and they are dedicated to providing leadership in the delivery of innovative programs that enhance and promote the value of Angus cattle and beef.

Angus.tech
Angus.tech includes a range of software tools and technologies that have been developed by Angus Australia for use by Angus Australia’s members and their clients.
TACE
TACE (TransTasman Angus Cattle Evaluation) is the genetic evaluation program adopted by Angus Australia for Angus and Angus infused beef cattle. TACE uses Best Linear Unbiased Prediction (BLUP) technology to produce Estimated Breeding Values (EBVs) of recorded cattle for a range of important production traits (e.g. weight, carcase, fertility).
Access to more genetic information
Angus Australia run two TACE runs every month, allowing commercial farmers access to the most up to date and accurate EBVs available. There are also new structural EBVs, including claw set, foot angle and leg angle, as well as a net feed efficiency EBV. You will of course, also still have access to all the EBVs you have previously had in New Zealand.
Angus Database Search
Access information for any individual animal recorded with Angus Australia, or once logged in, search and sort the Angus Australia database for animals that meet selection criteria of interest.
Angus SELECT
The Angus SELECT suite of selection tools assists Angus breeders to improve the profitability of Angus genetics within the beef supply chain by assisting with the identification of Angus genetics that are most aligned with their breeding goals and objectives.
Education
The Angus Education Centre is an initiation by Angus Australia to provide access to information about strategies and tools that will help farmers explore world leading genetic evaluation technologies, that will enhance the value and profitability of their cattle throughout the beef supply chain.
Zoetis HD50k
HD50K is the enduring gold standard for genomic prediction as it greatly increases the accuracy and scope of predictions for young bulls and females with limited or no progeny.
Angus Sire Benchmarking Program
The Angus Sire Benchmarking Program is a major initiative of Angus Australia with support from Meat & Livestock Australia. One of the main objectives is to generate progeny test data on modern Angus bulls, particularly for hard to measure traits such as feed efficiency, abattoir carcase measurement, meat quality attributes & female reproduction. The Angus sires that enter the ASBP are nominated by Angus Australia members.
HeiferSELECT
Angus HeiferSELECT is a genomic selection tool to help inform the selection of Angus replacement females (87.5% Angus content or greater) in a commercial beef breeding operation.
Angus GS by Neogen
Angus GS is a genotyping platform designed specifically for Angus seedstock cattle that assesses the genetic makeup of an animal at thousands of locations across the animal’s genome (known as SNPs or single nucleotide polymorphisms). Angus GS provides breeders a path into the future of genetic selection.
